Day After Lizzy Visit! Published 1/13

My daughter is such a thoughtful and loving person!

She recently flew out from D.C. to share Her Father’s 70 th Birthday. John was so proud and joyful She brought our 4 year old granddaughter! Well actually, she is only three. She was a vocal expression of joy and exuberance for the entire 4 days. Up at the crack of dawn and then falling off in exhaustion, She even actually told us she was tired! That 3 hour time difference< ugh! Both Her and Lizzy were exhausted the entire trip. It’s not easy bringing a baby across country. Car seat, and luggage and her. A bundle of energy! We had so much excitement. We were all worn out when departure day arrived.

Uncle Alex shared a Bowling Adveture with us! and then a Children’s Discovery Museum! In San Jose. We all enjoyed the bowling adventure Alex took us. I hadn’t been bowling in many years. It was Maddy’s frsit time ever. She was a champ! Maddy could actually pick up her own ball! and load it onto the Roller! then she launched it and got the highest scores on both games. Well the rest of us used the lanes, but I like the bumpers! Next time I will use the bumpers all the time. John made a couple strikes with his wobble ball! Apparently he had bowled at an earlier age. So Elizabeth and I held the low scores but it was still fun. We ordered wings and fish and chips it was so interesting.

The next morning we headed off to San Jose for the museum! It was warm and sunny when we arrived. We parked in the free weekend lot easily. Then we walked along the path to the museum entrance. While walking, Madeline noticed the outdoor play space so that was what we had to visit first! this space had a honeycomb climber, and a giant snail, a garden and we where got to eat lunch. Madeline was then ready to explore the inside exhibits. The ambulance, Firetruck and an old classic auto, Model T, rebuilt. She figured out how to turn the steering wheel and press the pedals! Grandma was amused at her excitement at each new exhibit. The kitchen craft area, the raindrops area, the Mastodon exhibit, and the measurement space. She was really happy to see she was 42 inches tall. We won’t talk about meters yet. Then off the to fossils exhibit. We then took another outdoor trip to the back sunshine area where they had five different kalidascope viewers. Madeline was totally enamored with the photos we took of her in the Kalidascope viewer. Gramma took the phtos and they were so funny. I’ll post my favorite on in this post! We had dinner at Georgio’s in Milpitas For Grand father’s birthday dinner! After arriving back home we enjoyed an ice cream cake for Grandfather! Very exciting at 3 years old!

Well I guess I’ve gone on for a bit and it’s time to let you go! Thanks for checking in on us! and hope to see you soon. I’m working out the discipline of writing a daily blog! So Aloha for now! Tess Tyler
